Man, been a while! I’ve been busy!

Check it, this is what’s been keeping me busy all the times:

This was my final project for CSU675, WEB DEVELOPMENT! It uses Canvas and SoundManager2 to produce some visualizations that I worked up. It’s pretty neat, check it out!

Ten Thousand Suns

Ten Thousand Suns is my new music/photography blog, showcasing the beauty of Boston in the summer time, with a bright soundtrack to accompany the photos. It’s the twin of Dreams In Neon, if you couldn’t tell. Good vibrations!

I have a few more projects to upload, but it’s too nice to be inside blogging! Stay tuned for part deux!

PETESPIN

For my Computer graphics class this semester, we had to choose a language (Ruby), and a graphics toolkit (the wonderful Shoes). I was playing around with Shoes, teaching myself about doing animation with it, and I came up with a little fun app. It doesn’t do much, and it’s not super super pretty (I was trying to use Aviary’s Pheonix), but I had fun making it.

A DREAM OF NON-LOCALITY

I’m taking a class this semester, Music Tech II to be precise, and in this class, we have to do a number of compositions.

This is my latest compositon.

Our assignment was to produce a two-minute composition using a Reaktor ensemble called SteamPipe. SteamPipe uses a technique called Physical Modeling to generate sounds based on a model of the interacting parts of an instrument. Pretty neat stuff. My general idea was to try to create several sounds of differing locales. Leave a comment if you like what you hear.

DOING WORK

I’ve been working on a site for my Web Devleopment class this semester, in ASP.NET. It’s not much to look at right now, but I have some code experiments up, and the source to all of the pages is up too. You can check it out over here. Give me some feedback on the code if you’re interested.
