WHERE I BEEN

It’s been a blogging ghost town around these here parts, but I’ve been a busy man, and here’s what I have to show for it.
First, I’ve been playing around with one of these:
I’ve used a Hercules MK2, which felt really cheap and more of a toy than a real tool, but the XPonent is a real beast. Just picking the thing up and feeling the weight gives a good idea of what kind of equipment it is. I wouldn’t say that it’s the best there is, but it’s certainly nicer than Lil’ Billy’s First DJ Controller. I, however, didn’t buy it. It’s not mine. It happens to belong to this radio station that I work for that is pretty damn awesome and also that I do a radio show on. The show is Wednesdays 10-Midnight, in case you were wondering don’t know where the best fucking show is. The main point of having that thing around was to make this:
It’s a little rough, but it’s my first try at actually making something that’s not a party in a basement, so understand a little bit, aight?
I’ve also been taking time to flex my foodie muscles, and I’ve been eating this for the past two days (I had lots of salmon):
That would be grilled lemon dill salmon, spring salad, and all of it dressed in my lovely garlic aeoli. The spring salad had dill in it too. I’m a dill fiend. I’m not going to post the recipe until I actually get it figured out in measurements, but if there is outcry, I will go faster! I’ll also have to make more aeoli, there won’t be any arm-twisting.
