Digsby Rocks My World

I haven’t been this fired up about an IM client in a while, so excuse any accidental gushing. I found Digsby today via Digg and I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s got everything that your social networking-savvy self could possibly ask for in a client, including:
- Twitter support
- Facebook support (Which is so comprehensive I had to turn some things off)
- Full GMail support
Of course it has the standard AIM, Yahoo!, GTalk, etc. capabilities, but you would expect that from any fully featured client nowadays anyway. The best part is that it’s written in Python and has a memory footprint barely larger than Pidgin but unlike Pidgin, IT SYNCS YOUR ACCOUNT DATA. That’s right, syncs. I’ll never have to try to get my Pidgin settings at work to be exactly like my home settings again. If you find your current IM client lacking features or hogging precious memory, do yourself a favor and give Digsby a try. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
